Production and quality of cowpea seeds desiccated with saflufenacil and flumioxazin

ABSTRACT The use of desiccants allows to anticipate cowpea harvest at a time closer physiological maturity. saflufenacil and flumioxazin promote the drying falling leaves loss water from seeds. This study aimed evaluate effects doses applied crop on production quality seeds after storage for six months. Two experiments were carried out in split-plot design (5 × 2). In first experiment, main factor consisted (0, 25, 50, 100, 150 g ai ha-1), while second evaluation periods (after months harvest). 10, 20, 30, 40 ha-1) same periods. treatments designed randomized blocks, with four replications. Saflufenacil application 25 ha-1 compromised yield components technological quality, did not affect components. Storage 20 °C decreased Flumioxazin promoted uniformity maturity anticipation, without compromising harvest.
